It really is a place where you’re saying ‘Wow’ as you walk round, surprisingly everything you could need is supplied so we ended up with a lot of excess baggage : )) The location is great for all manner of local walks/places of interest and superb beaches, we even went for a swim at Cardigan Bay on Christmas Day. The local pub, about 50 yards down the road, has a very warm welcome for guests and serves some lovely food, we felt very welcome. This was certainly a place to remember…

We rented a cottage for a week and found it to be just what we needed – quiet, relaxed, and finished to a high standard. There is plenty to see and do in the area, with the Pembrokeshire coastal path and Picton Castle being of particular note. We tended to go out and about during the day then come back to the cottage during daylight hours to relax for the evening. The cottage had pretty much everything we needed, and despite not really needing it for heat, the log stove was lovely. The only thing we’d do differently if we visit again, would be to bring some DVDs.

On arrival, my wife and I were greeted by the owners who immediately made us feel relaxed and very welcome. Flowers, Welsh cakes, butter, milk and freshly baked rolls were brought to us within minutes, and we were offered samples of their family-run brewery’s ales. The holiday cottage is an absolutely beautiful place to spend time, it’s spotlessly clean and fresh, the beds are extremely comfortable and everything you could possibly want for preparing the occasional meal is within the cottage.
Beautiful scenery and surroundings was the cherry on the cake for the most peaceful, relaxing holiday we’ve had.
