Seaside Steps Bed & Breakfast
Gary Strawbridge welcomes you to Seaside Steps Bed and Breakfast with amazing views over Fishguard Bay. This is ideal for walkers and is actually on the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The centre of Goodwick is a short walk down New Hill; there are several good eating places in Goodwick. The small town of Fishguard with an abundance of specialist shops is just over 1 mile away across the bay. Goodwick has its own railway station with 7 trains a day to bring you from anywhere across the UK and beyond. The ferry from Ireland comes twice daily into the Harbour just out of sight.
Bed and Breakfast includes continental breakfast; if you would like the full Welsh breakfast let me know and that can be arranged at a small additional charge.
We have a clothes drying facility – but it doesn’t rain often!! Your luggage can be collected or delivered ahead of you by prior arrangement. If you wish to be taken to somewhere on the coast path to continue your walk that too is easily arranged. Let me know if you would like a packed lunch to enjoy later in the day.
From Goodwick explore tiny hamlets on the Pencaer peninsular including Llanwnda and the church of St Gwyndaf and visit the scene of the French landing at Carreg Wastad in 1797 and the lighthouse at Strumble Head.
Goodwick Beach, a winner of the ‘Seaside Award’, is a favourite with families and the Ocean Lab on the Parrog has a cyber cafe, coffee and gift shop and a soft play area. Goodwick Moor is a Nature Reserve and designated as a site of scientific interest.. The lifeboat is based in the harbour and seals and dolphins are sometimes seen in the bay but are more numerous just off the coast.
The family room has a double bed, single bed and cot and ensuite shower room with toilet: £75 per night inclusive
