The Ship Inn
The Ship Inn is a roadside Ale House dating back to the late 18th Century, at the mouth of the River Gwaun in Lower Town< Fishguard. It has a long history, much of which is displayed in the vast collection of old maritime photographs and memorabilia in a marvellously unspoiled atmosphere. Free House; Real Ales, Good Beer Guide.
“This gem of a pub is situated in the lower part of Fishguard near to the Harbour. It sits amid a row of terraced houses and can be missed if you are not careful. The first thing that hits you is the small and very cosy interior, full of old pictures, maps and nick-nacks, lending a chat amongst the locals and guests alike, inevitable.
The landlord was very friendly and full of old stories, the kind of bloke you could easily sit and chat with for hours.” South Yorkshireman Feb 2014
